TRT does not merely support the economic development of member companies, but rather also engages in cultural, social and environmental activities, including:

Taicang Handicapped Workshop

In cooperation with the Taicang Disabled Persons' Federation, German non-profit organization Lebenshilfe, the German Chamber of Commerce, the Rotary Club of Shanghai, and numerous other project partners, TRT has established China’s first handicapped workshop for mentally challenged people. The workshop produces high quality products to supply Taicang companies and promote inclusion in the workplace.

Now, our Job Coach Mr. Nadav Ben Simon and his Chinese counterpart Mr. Andy Di are managing the workshop and supporting the employees. In the long-term, a Chinese job coach (or coaches) will manage the operation of the Handicapped Workshop.

At every stage of the Handicapped Workshop each working group of 10 employees was coached by two job coaches in order to ensure that the workload is manageable and that the production meets safety and quality standards.

With the increase of workload and the training of further job coaches it will be possible to expand the number of working groups. The final aim is to employ around 40 handicapped people in our workshop.

Receiving production orders from the industry is the key to our sustainable success. If you would like to get further information about the Handicapped Workshop or support this project by either outsourcing some of your work tasks or sponsoring, please do not hesitate to contact: info@inclusion-factory.com.

In the Taicang Handicapped Workshop the assembly of simple workload is possible:

  • Manual assembly (with knuckle joint press, screwdriver with air-pressure, etc.)
  • Packaging works
  • Sorting tasks
  • Crimping, labeling
  • Ultrasonic welding of cables
