TRT OBOR Supply Chain Symposium

On May 20th, we organized TRT OBOR Supply Chain Symposium at TRT Café.

Ms. Judy Liu, GM of Judphone SCM, shared with us the result of a survey about Customer Intention for the Sino-European Freight Train from Taicang, which we made among TRT members days ago. These members including production enterprises and trade enterprises, have quite different monthly import volumes, and only 46.43% of them choose railway as a commonly used type of importation. Most of them (about 79%) have ever exported or imported via train, but the transit time, transit fee, available cargo amount, cargo tracking, and some other factors have become the important reasons they will consider when choosing to use railway or different types.

Mr. Zhu Yiye from YXE introduced YXE China Railway Express Routes to us. Now we can transport cargo to 18 countries in Europe, Central Asia, and South Asia via railway.

Section Chief of Taicang Commerce Bureau, Mr. Sun Shuai, introduced some policies that the Taicang Government had released to encourage the import and export of local enterprises.

In the Q&A session, the related person in charge of TRT companies discussed a lot of situations and problems they had faced about railway transportation, like the sudden demand for railway transportation, the customs clearance efficiency, the tracing of goods, etc. About those problems, Judphone SCM and DB Schenker proposed reliable solutions and referable suggestions.
