On September 2, TRT held a seminar on the latest tax and customs policy interpretations at the Taicang Enterprise Service Center.
This seminar specially invited senior experts from customs and tax authorities to provide authoritative interpretations and practical guidance on export control and VAT policies of widespread concern to enterprises.
At the seminar, Mr. Zhu Jun, Deputy Chief of the Comprehensive Business Section of Taicang Customs, delivered a presentation titled ‘Explanation & Case Study of Export Control Policies’. Over 40 minutes, he systematically outlined the legal basis and historical evolution of national export control policies, delivering an accessible explanation of export control requirements for key regulated goods. Through real-world case analysis, Mr. Zhu vividly illustrated potential compliance risks enterprises may encounter during export operations, sounding an alarm for businesses while offering valuable compliance guidance.
Subsequently, Ms. Zhang Chunhui, the Specialist from the Loudong Branch of Taicang Tax Bureau, delivering a presentation titled ‘Guidelines for Policies and Operations Related to Value Added Tax on Exported Taxable Goods’. She not only elaborated on core VAT policies concerning taxable export goods but also demonstrated key operational procedures in real time, including how to query refund rates and confirm customs declaration purposes within the Electronic Tax Bureau. Ms. Zhang's highly practical presentation aimed to guide taxpayers in accurately and efficiently handling relevant tax filings while effectively mitigating tax risks.
